20190306-Binance supports Theta token swap-Taiwan's FSC plans to adopt STOs


Binance will support Theta token swap and distribution of Theta Fuel:


Binance statement....Binance would like to confirm support for the Theta Network (THETA) mainnet swap. Deposits and withdrawals of THETA will be suspended starting from 2019/03/12 0:00 AM (UTC), at which point we will begin the mainnet swap process. We will handle all technical requirements involved for all users holding THETA in their Binance accounts.

We will make a separate announcement after the mainnet swap is complete to notify users when deposits and withdrawals for THETA (native coin) will open.

Binance will also support the distribution of Theta Fuel (TFUEL) to all users holding THETA . We will take a snapshot of all THETA balances at a block height of 7,356,258 on the Ethereum blockchain (estimated to occur at 2019/03/12 7:00 PM (UTC)) and distribute TFUEL to eligible users after the mainnet swap is complete, at a ratio of 1 THETA = 5 TFUEL.

Balances below 10 THETA (including those in trade orders) will not be eligible for the airdrop.
Please ensure that you leave sufficient time for deposits to be processed in full prior to both the snapshot time and also prior to the suspension of deposits.
For trading and listing of airdropped tokens on Binance, each project will go through the same strict listing review process as Binance does for any other coin/token. The default position we have is no listing.



Taiwan plans to adopt STOs (security token offerings) :


The regulators in Taiwan planning to officially adopt STOs as part of the existing fundraising mechanisms that have been approved for the Taiwanese companies. According to the Taiwan Economic Daily, the agency has set a timeline for the STOs adoption which they profoundly believe in offering more investor protection than the Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs).


FSC (Financial Supervisory Commission) Chairman Gu Lixiong explained the reasons as to why regulators are all open hands to adopting the STO fundraising mechanism. According to Lixiong, young folks are less likely to invest in the stocks and would instead prefer a more innovative mechanism.
Additionally, he claims that STO is the next big thing of capital markets, that may most probably affect Taiwan's popularity of the new creative teams in the global market for the next five or ten years. Hence, it's a no-brainer that regulators are working so hard to position Taiwan for the future apparently by creating the regulations at the moment.

20190114-Bitmain-BTC goes down to $1800?
