20181116-Shadow Mining BCH?

Coindance this morning shows that the ABC camp is clearly in the lead and BCH.SV was lagging behind.   But the conspiracy theory is that BCH.SV might be doing shadow mining and pulling a shadow mining attack later on.


Shadow mining – mining in secret, blocks not published in public.   The purpose is to have the longest chain built in secrecy and then at some point time make it public and replace the public chain.   In BTC alike coins, the nodes will always recognize the longest blockchain as THE chain and replace the other shorter chains.    Another thing is when you do shadow mining, you can mine empty blocks for the sole purpose making the chain longer.


In order to prevent this , the ABC camp created a centralized check point to check their blockchain.  (Wendy:   not really sure how that works.)


Ivan thinks that BCH.SV is not doing shadow mining because he said Craig Wright was bragging on Twitter about BCH.SV winning when they were just one block ahead of BCH.ABC 8 hours ago.   If he really have such a plan, he probably wouldn’t be saying that when they were just one block ahead.


Lastly, Ivan presented this quote from Mcaffe:

20190114-Bitmain-BTC goes down to $1800?

Crypto Cowboy: Problem with BTC space – centralization of the BTC.       The 6 biggest mining companies in the world are calling the shots and they are mostly Chinese.   Also big banks are entering the space.    Right now it looks like Bitmain is going down.
